Resources - Some Security Tips

Theft is a common worry for home owners - here are some tips Laura hopes will help deter a thief from your home and garden:

• Gravel paths at doorways and under windows
• Prickly plants growing over a high fence
• Automatic lighting with movement sensors
• Burglar alarms to shed & other garden "rooms"
• Take photographs of valuable garden ornaments & mark them with your postcode
• Side gates should be open in design – wooden ones tend to have easy footholds
• All gates & outside doors to have sturdy locks
• Front Gardens should have low hedges or walls so that there is nowhere to hide.
